Consulting

I love exploring the intersection of design and content, especially if it’s complex. An information designer at heart, I am driven to create experiences that are meaningful and cohesive.
-
A problem cannot be solved without the input and buy in from your stakeholders — whether that is the end user, the customer, or an organization.
-
Managing a project effectively requires close coordination with stakeholders and team members, ensuring that milestones are being met efficiently while raising the bar.
-
Manufacturing, beauty products, ride share apps, private foundations, and once upon a time there was even pizza. I’ve worked across industries delivering digital and printed products for companies of all sizes including fortune 100s.

Over the last decade I’ve worked with several DOTs and transit agencies, a state level DOD, multiple library associations, and many municipal offices of economic development, arts and culture, and several ports, among others.
Projects at a Glance
AWS OpenSearch Site Architecture Audit
The OpenSearch.org site navigation was too simple for the complexity of the product offerings and didn’t allow for the menu to grow as pages and sections were added. In order to redesign the nav menu, I did a site audit to document all pages within the website and mark what was missing.
This exercise allowed us to better plan the new site architecture and navigation menu, while also highlighting current pages that were completely missing from the header/footer. We were able to have meaningful conversations with our client about the site structure and what we needed to prioritize to get us to the future state.
Public Library Association Report Builder
Libraries in the United States host workshops and events regularly, all designed to fit within a set of measurable criteria to measure outcomes. The Public Library Association (PLA) needed a way for librarians to capture that data and build reports to understand effectiveness over time.
Our team built a tool to take that data and generate reports using a variety of criteria including event category, date range, outcome metric, and library groupings. The reports needed to be templated to fit a letter size document and contain all exportable data including boiler plate content and report metadata. I designed the templates as well as the workflow for the report generator feature. This product became an essential tool for the PLA to measure outcomes across the United States.
Uber Structured Content
To support Uber in their goal of using AI-driven automations for support issues, our team was enlisted to help prepare their content for AI ingestion. Our team created a user-intent based taxonomy and used it in tandem with an LLM workflow to merge and deduplicate Saved Replies and Help Center content. Additionally, we were asked to create training materials and host working office hours for internal Uber employees who were brought on to help with the merging process.
Our team successfully reduced repetitive content by over 85% across personas and locations across the globe.
Central Ohio Transit Agency SOP Publishing Workflow
As part of Central Ohio Transit Agency (COTA)’s initiative in documenting their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), they needed a way to manage the workflow of publishing new or updated content to a SharePoint site.
A publishing process was designed, piloted, and implemented over a three month period in tandem with the development of the SOP documents. The workflow used a combination of SharePoint automations designed to kick off the review process between the submitter and the approver personas and automated the publishing based on document status.
Additionally, documentation was created for administering and navigating the workflow, using a combination of technical writing and visual infographics to ensure an easy process for users and admins. These artifacts were housed in an SOP SharePoint library as resources for future reference.
